• When Jesus talked to the Samaritan woman, she was fascinated by how much he knew about her, and yet he did not condemn her, instead offering her living water. He also changed the lives of his disciples, transforming them into fearless evangelists after his resurrection. Jesus even associated with lepers and tax collectors, both of whom were considered despicable at the time. But guess what – he healed the lepers, he made the lame to walk, and he forgave the sins of the tax collectors. He changed their lives. • In Matthew 9:36, the Bible says, “When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.” (NIV) Jesus felt sad that people were coming to him because they had no hope and no direction in life. He loved them deeply and genuinely, and passionately ministered to them throughout his time on earth. His final act of love was his death on the cross, an act of love that has changed many lives ever since.

7. Jesus rose from the dead

• Who is Jesus? He is the only man known to have died and risen from the dead! After Jesus was crucified on the cross, he was laid to rest in a tomb that was secured by a stone at its entrance. Those who put him to death were satisfied that the deed was done. Those who believed in Jesus were sorrowful and filled with despair. Three days later, however, some women went to the tomb to anoint Jesus’s body, and they found the stone rolled away! Jesus appeared to these same women as they rushed to give the disciples the good news, and later on, he appeared to his disciples at Galilee. No other man has accomplished such a feat since!

8. Jesus was fully God, yet fully man

• Jesus came to the earth as a result of divine conception, as his mother Mary had not had sexual relations with any man before. He was born and grew as part of a family until he started his ministry on earth. Jesus lived as a man among the people of that time, after which he was crucified. How do we know he was God? After his death, he rose again and appeared to his disciples! After appearing to his disciples, he ascended into heaven! While on earth, Jesus experienced hunger, fatigue, distress, and anger just like any other man. He however performed miracles that no man could have performed. Such power could only come from someone who was God or directly connected to God.

9. Jesus was the long-awaited Messiah

• Isaiah 9:6 recorded the promised birth of the Messiah long before Jesus was born. This verse talks about a child being born and a son being given, one who would have the government on his shoulders. This Messiah was Jesus, and the words “Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace” describe him perfectly. Though the people of the day did not recognize him as Messiah, Jesus was indeed the Messiah sent to the world to seek out and save the lost.

10. Jesus is the world’s only true Savior

• Many people claim to be able to save the world but cannot do what Jesus did – die on the cross for sins that were not his own. As the Son of God, he could have chosen otherwise, but he didn’t. Jesus gave up all he had to come to earth and die on the cross, something he did out of love. He gave up his throne in heaven, and his life on earth, so that you could have life and an eternal relationship with God. Who is Jesus? The only Savior there is!
